Job Description

American Expediting is a premier health sciences delivery service provider specializing in the timely and reliable transportation of critical medical supplies and specimens. Established with a commitment to excellence, the company serves a wide network of medical facilities including hospitals, laboratories, and clinics, ensuring that essential medical deliveries are handled with the utmost care and urgency. With an emphasis on efficient logistics and superior customer service, American Expediting has built a reputation as a trusted partner in the healthcare industry. Their focus on rapid, precise delivery plays a crucial role in supporting life-saving procedures and treatments across the communities they serve.

This specific opportunity is for a 1099 Independent Contractor Medical Courier Driver, offering a unique chance for motivated individuals to join the team on a contract basis. If you are a safe, reliable driver with a flexible schedule, this role provides an ideal way to work on your own terms while earning competitive rates. Contractors are required to provide their own minivan vehicle equipped with a lift gate and pallet jack, essential tools for efficient loading and unloading of goods. The work schedule typically runs Monday through Thursday from 8am to 5pm, with extended hours from Friday through Sunday until 8pm, accommodating the dynamic nature of medical delivery demands.

As an independent contractor with American Expediting, you will perform expedited deliveries to medical facilities, playing a vital role in the healthcare supply chain. Your responsibilities will include same-day delivery services, maintaining a high standard of quality and customer care, and ensuring the safe transport of sensitive medical items that could potentially save lives. This position invites professionals who are conscientious, organized, and committed to meeting tight deadlines. Beyond the operational aspects, you will be an ambassador of the company’s values, providing exceptional customer service and reinforcing American Expediting’s reputation for reliability and professionalism.

The role comes with no earnings cap, allowing driven contractors to maximize their income based on their availability and efficiency. Payment ranges between $300 and $700 per week, reflecting the variable workload and contract nature of the position. Since this is a contract job, contractors are responsible for their own insurance, health coverage, tax reporting, and related expenses. In addition, contractors must be ready to comply with necessary certifications including TSA certification and customer-specific medical certifications to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. American Expediting supports contractors through the certification process to help facilitate smooth onboarding.

Overall, this position is a flexible, rewarding opportunity for individuals looking for autonomous work in a critical sector that makes a meaningful difference. By joining American Expediting as an independent contractor medical courier driver, you gain access to a growing medical logistics network, establish valuable professional experience in the healthcare delivery field, and contribute directly to life-saving operations. Potential candidates should have a valid driver’s license, meet age requirements, maintain necessary insurance coverage, and pass background and motor vehicle record checks. If you own a suitable minivan and are ready to commit to a role that demands integrity, punctuality, and care, this contract role could be the perfect fit for your skills and ambitions.
