Job Description
American Expediting is a leading provider of health sciences delivery services dedicated to offering timely, reliable, and professional delivery solutions for medical facilities. With a strong commitment to service excellence and client satisfaction, American Expediting has built a reputable presence in the healthcare logistics industry. Their focus on health sciences and specialized delivery needs makes them a crucial partner for hospitals, laboratories, and other medical entities that require expedited and secure transport of sensitive medical shipments.
This opportunity is for the role of a 1099 Independent Contractor Medical Courier Driver, providing an excellent chance for reliable and safety-conscious drivers to join a flexible and rewarding work environment. The position requires contractors to use their own minivan to make deliveries, emphasizing the importance of vehicle ownership and reliability. The job involves working primarily Monday through Friday from 3pm to 11pm, with additional weekend shifts available as needed, focused on both local and regional routes. This role is essential as it directly supports the timely transport of critical medical supplies, which helps save lives.
As a 1099 contractor, this position offers no earnings cap, allowing drivers to maximize their income potential based on the volume of deliveries completed. The company offers competitive rates and values strong customer relationships. Contractors enjoy the flexibility of on-demand work schedules while contributing to meaningful healthcare delivery services. The role demands professionalism, punctuality, and excellent customer service skills, ensuring consistent high standards in all delivery interactions.
American Expediting values the independence of contractors and expects them to uphold company values and deliver quality service to various medical facilities. Contractors are required to maintain all their vehicle-related insurances and demonstrate a clean driving record. Job candidates must also be willing to obtain TSA Certification and any other customer-specific medical certifications provided upon contracting, which highlights the sensitive nature of the materials being transported.
This position is ideal for independent contractors who want to leverage their driving skills, enjoy flexible scheduling, and have a passion for contributing positively to medical delivery logistics. While the company supports contractors with certification training, drivers are responsible for their own background checks, motor vehicle record checks, and insurance procurement, as per regulatory and contractual standards. The wage range for this role is approximately $350 to $1000 per week, making it a viable earning opportunity for motivated drivers with their own minivan vehicles.
In summary, joining American Expediting as an Independent Contractor Medical Courier Driver means being part of a vital healthcare delivery network, enjoying flexible work hours, competitive pay, and contributing to a service that makes a real difference in medical logistics. The company’s established reputation, commitment to quality, and flexible contractor model make this an attractive opportunity for experienced drivers looking for reliable contract work with meaningful impact.
