Job Description

American Expediting is a leading provider of health sciences delivery services, committed to ensuring timely and reliable deliveries to medical facilities. Established as a trusted partner in the healthcare logistics sector, American Expediting specializes in expedited transport of critical medical supplies, lab specimens, pharmaceuticals, and other time-sensitive health products. With a strong customer base that includes hospitals, clinics, diagnostic labs, and other healthcare providers, the company has built a reputation for excellence in service reliability and responsiveness. American Expediting values professionalism, safety, and customer satisfaction, making it a preferred choice for medical courier services in its operating regions.

We are currently seeking dependable and professional individuals to join our team as 1099 Independent Contractor Medical Courier Drivers. This is a contract-based opportunity designed for self-motivated drivers who own a minivan and are looking for flexible work schedules combined with competitive earnings. You will play a vital role in ensuring that critical medical deliveries are dispatched and delivered efficiently, contributing to the healthcare supply chain that saves lives daily.

As an independent contractor with American Expediting, you have the freedom to manage your own schedule with opportunities to work Monday through Sunday from 6am to 6pm, including weekend coverage for on-demand deliveries. Your responsibilities will include transporting medical specimens, lab samples, and other essential healthcare items safely and promptly while providing excellent customer service to the medical personnel receiving the deliveries. This role requires you to maintain high standards of professionalism, reliability, and safety, as every delivery can impact patient care directly.

The position offers unlimited earning potential with no cap on income, supported by excellent pay rates and access to a robust network of customers. While you are responsible for providing your own vehicle—a minivan—you will be backed by the company’s comprehensive dispatcher support and streamlined scheduling system to help optimize your routes and deliveries. It is important to note that as a 1099 contractor, you are responsible for your own insurance, tax reporting, and related expenses, but we provide resources and assistance for required certifications and onboarding.

Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, punctual, and committed to maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of medical deliveries. Additional training and certifications including TSA Certification and customer-specific medical certifications will be provided upon contracting to ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety protocols. Join American Expediting to be a part of a mission-driven organization where your efforts contribute directly to health science services and patient well-being.
