As a company deeply vested in healthcare logistics, American Expediting plays a critical role in supporting medical institutions by delivering essential medical supplies, specimens, and documents that directly impact patient care and outcomes. Known for its emphasis on exceptional service quality and dependable delivery, the company has built a strong reputation and a loyal customer base in the healthcare industry. American Expediting operates with a focus on flexibility, professionalism, and precision, which makes it an ideal workplace for individuals seeking a dynamic and rewarding role in medical delivery services.
This opportunity is offered as a contract position for Independent Contractor Medical Courier Drivers. This role is perfect for reliable, safety-conscious drivers looking for flexible work hours coupled with substantial earning potential. Working as an Independent Contractor with American Expediting means that you provide your own vehicle, offering you autonomy over your work schedule and delivery assignments. The company seeks team members who are dedicated to performing expedited deliveries that can range locally up to 200 miles, with shifts typically scheduled on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8 am to 8 pm. This schedule caters well to individuals who appreciate structured shifts with extended hours allowing for maximum productivity and income potential.
As an Independent Contractor Medical Courier Driver, your primary mission is to provide expedited delivery services that are essential to saving lives. These deliveries include medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and critical lab results that must be transported safely and delivered promptly to medical facilities. This role demands a high level of responsibility, customer service expertise, and operational excellence. Drivers must adhere to safety standards, manage their own logistics, and maintain clear communication with dispatch and clients to ensure seamless and efficient delivery operations.
In this capacity, you will enjoy the benefits of no earnings cap, making it an attractive opportunity for motivated individuals eager to build their income. The company provides excellent compensation rates commensurate with the value and urgency of the deliveries. Furthermore, American Expediting offers support with required certifications, including TSA certification and customer-specific medical certifications, ensuring you are fully equipped and compliant to handle sensitive medical materials. The job also involves asset recovery duties and requires lift gate capabilities for loading and unloading goods efficiently.
This role is distinctly geared toward independent contractors, emphasizing personal accountability, reliable vehicle ownership, and the ability to operate autonomously on the road. The company values professionalism, timeliness, and a high standard of quality in service delivery, making this an ideal role for drivers who take pride in their work and understand the importance of healthcare logistics in a broader societal context.
With a wage range of approximately $200 to $350 per week, depending on deliveries completed, this position offers a steady income opportunity for individuals with the drive and commitment to a crucial service. If you meet the minimum age requirement of 21, possess a valid driver's license, and are willing to comply with background checks and motor vehicle record checks, you can join a leading healthcare courier service that makes a measurable difference every day. Insurance requirements, including liability coverage and workers' compensation, are set to comply with state statutes and ensure coverage for all parties involved. Joining American Expediting means becoming a crucial part of a mission-driven team that blends flexibility, professionalism, and community impact into a rewarding contract driving role.
