Job Description
American Expediting is a leading provider of health sciences delivery services specializing in timely and reliable medical courier solutions. The company is committed to excellence in service delivery, building strong partnerships with healthcare providers, and ensuring that critical medical items reach their destination on time. With a reputation for professionalism and dependable logistics, American Expediting supports medical facilities by providing expedited courier services that can save lives. Their focus on safety, reliability, and quality places them at the forefront of the medical courier and logistics industry.
This opportunity is for a 1099 Independent Contractor Medical Courier Driver position, offering flexible contractual work primarily on weekdays. Ideal for individuals who are reliable, safety-conscious drivers seeking flexible schedules, this role allows contractors to utilize their own vehicles to deliver urgent medical supplies and documentation. The role includes picking up and delivering items such as lab samples, medical records, and supplies, ensuring fast turnaround times to support the healthcare sector. With no earnings cap and competitive pay based on deliveries completed between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., this position offers a lucrative income potential for motivated contractors.
The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a consistent record of punctuality and safety. As an independent contractor, you will be responsible for managing your vehicle and adhering to regulatory requirements such as TSA certification and valid insurance coverage. This contractor role allows you to work primarily as a back-up route driver with potential for permanent or daily route assignments depending on performance and business needs. This position is well suited for those who want to work independently while contributing to the critical needs of the health sciences delivery network.
The role demands a high level of professionalism and the ability to handle sensitive medical deliveries under strict deadlines. Your work will impact patient outcomes by ensuring vital materials reach laboratories and hospitals without delay. Candidates must be self-motivated and comfortable working on the road, independently managing deliveries and scheduling. This is a contract position, which means you will need to provide your own vehicle and insurance, comply with background and motor vehicle record checks, and obtain required certifications that will be facilitated during onboarding.
Working with American Expediting means joining a team that values dependable and trusted service while offering the flexibility that many drivers seek. While the contractor status means that you are responsible for your taxes and insurance, this arrangement allows for significant autonomy and potential for a substantial weekly income. The expected weekly wage range extends up to $600 for high performers who meet delivery expectations and provide excellent service. If you are ready to take control of your schedule and be part of a meaningful medical transportation service, this role offers an excellent opportunity.
