Job Description

American Expediting is a trusted and leading provider in the health sciences delivery sector, specializing in timely and reliable transportation of critical medical supplies. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence, American Expediting has established itself as a vital partner to medical facilities that rely on rapid delivery services. The company operates primarily as an independent contractor-based model, empowering drivers with the flexibility to manage their schedules while contributing to an essential service that directly impacts patient care and health outcomes. Joining American Expediting means becoming part of a dedicated team that values professionalism, reliability, and the life-saving nature of medical courier work.

This particular role is designed for individuals seeking flexibility and autonomy as independent contractors. As a 1099 independent contractor medical courier driver, you will play an integral role in ensuring the expedited delivery of medical supplies and specimens to various healthcare facilities. Your responsibilities include managing same-day deliveries, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining strict adherence to safety and quality standards. This contractor position is ideal for self-motivated individuals who possess their own vehicle and are committed to performing deliveries in a timely and professional manner. The role operates Monday through Friday during on-demand hours between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., offering no earnings cap and competitive compensation based on deliveries completed.

The position entails flexible working hours that allow drivers to control their own schedules within the required timeframes, promoting a work-life balance uncommon in traditional employment. Contractors must meet certain qualifications and requirements, including holding a valid driver's license, passing background and motor vehicle record checks, and obtaining specific certifications such as TSA and customer-specific medical certification. Proof of insurance is mandatory, and American Expediting requires contractors to maintain appropriate liability coverage and workers' compensation according to state statutes.

While this role comes with the freedom associated with independent contracting, it is important to note that contractors are responsible for their own insurance, healthcare coverage, and tax-related obligations. The compensation is performance-based, with earning potential linked directly to the volume and efficiency of deliveries made. This opportunity is perfect for reliable drivers who value flexibility and want to contribute to healthcare by supporting critical medical logistics and rapid delivery services that ultimately help save lives.
