Job Description

American Expediting is a leading provider of health sciences delivery services, specializing in expedited courier services for medical facilities. The company is dedicated to ensuring timely, reliable, and safe delivery of critical medical items, including specimens, pharmaceuticals, and medical documentation. With a commitment to exceptional customer service and building robust client relationships, American Expediting has established itself as a trusted partner in the healthcare logistics industry. The company operates with a high standard of professionalism and care, recognizing the vital role timely deliveries play in patient care and medical outcomes.

This job opportunity is for a 1099 independent contractor position, offering flexibility for individuals who prefer to work on their own schedule using their personal vehicle. The role of Medical Courier Driver is essential, as contractors provide on-demand, same-day delivery services to various medical facilities during primarily daytime hours, Monday through Friday, with occasional after-hours and weekend opportunities. This position offers no earnings cap, excellent rates, and the chance to serve a dedicated customer base, making it an attractive choice for reliable and motivated drivers seeking flexible work with meaningful impact.

Independent contractors with American Expediting are responsible for using their own cars to perform deliveries that help save lives. The job requires professionalism, excellent customer service, and a high standard of accuracy and timeliness. Drivers must be prepared to undergo background and motor vehicle record checks and obtain necessary medical and security certifications. This position provides the chance to work autonomously while being part of a company that values safety, responsibility, and quality service. Contractors are responsible for their own insurance coverage and must maintain at least 100/300 liability insurance with American Expediting listed as additionally insured or have insurance coverage provided while under dispatch, along with appropriate Workers’ Compensation or Occupational Accident insurance depending on state requirements.

The compensation for this contractor role ranges from $200 to $1,000 per week depending on workload and hours worked, making it a lucrative opportunity for proactive individuals. Since this is a contractor role, individuals must manage their own tax reporting, health insurance, and other personal benefits. American Expediting supports its contractors with certification programs including TSA and customer-specific medical certifications, which are provided upon contracting to ensure compliance with industry regulations and security standards. This is an excellent opportunity for independent drivers who want to make a difference in healthcare logistics while enjoying flexible scheduling and competitive earnings.
