Job Description
American Expediting is a prominent provider in the health sciences delivery sector, specializing in expedited medical courier services that are critical to the timely delivery of essential healthcare items. The company has been an industry leader by offering reliable and professional delivery solutions tailored to the unique needs of medical facilities. American Expediting prides itself on maintaining strong client relationships through exceptional service and a dedicated team of couriers who uphold high standards of quality and reliability.
This position is for independent contractors with their own box trucks who are interested in flexible work opportunities. As a 1099 Independent Contractor Medical Courier Driver, you will play an indispensable role in helping healthcare providers receive their critical medical supplies on time. Your responsibilities will include executing prompt, same-day deliveries to medical facilities, ensuring the safety and integrity of the packages, and providing excellent customer care at all times. This role requires you to have your own box truck, valid driver's license, and appropriate insurance coverage. The work schedule is primarily Monday to Friday from 7am to 5pm, with on-demand availability and weekend work considered a plus. Though it is a contract job, the position offers competitive pay with no earnings cap, allowing you to maximize your income based on your efforts and availability.
American Expediting values professionalism and requires all couriers to maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record and pass background checks. You will also be expected to complete TSA certification as well as customer-specific medical certifications, both of which are provided after contracting. The role demands reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to safe driving practices. Working independently, you will take charge of your schedule and routes, ensuring prompt delivery that could potentially save lives by providing critical health supplies where they are needed most.
Since this is an independent contractor role, you will be responsible for the operational aspects of your job such as maintaining your own insurance with the necessary liability coverage, handling fuel costs, and vehicle upkeep. American Expediting offers insurance options during dispatch for your convenience. The company promotes a culture of safety, responsibility, and mutual respect between its contractors and the medical clients they serve. This opportunity is ideal for experienced drivers who have their own box trucks and wish to engage in meaningful work with flexible hours and rewarding compensation.
