Job Description

American Expediting is a leading provider of health sciences delivery services dedicated to ensuring timely and reliable medical courier solutions across various healthcare facilities. Known for its commitment to excellence and strong client relationships, American Expediting specializes in expedited delivery services that are vital to the healthcare industry. The company operates by partnering with independent contractors who play a crucial role in delivering medical items quickly and safely, helping to save lives and improve patient outcomes. Based on its reputation for dependable service and efficiency, American Expediting stands as a prime choice for individuals seeking contract work with flexible scheduling and competitive pay.

The position available is for a 1099 Independent Contractor Medical Courier Driver, specifically requiring the use of a personal box truck. This role is designed for those who are reliable drivers with a commitment to safety, who seek flexible work opportunities with no earnings cap. Drivers operating under this contract work Monday through Friday from 2pm to 10pm on an on-demand basis. Independent contractors are empowered to deliver critical medical packages including lab specimens, pharmaceuticals, and medical instruments from various medical facilities. This role demands a high level of professionalism, timely service, and excellent customer service as the deliveries directly impact patient care and clinical operations.

In this contract role, the courier is responsible for providing and maintaining their own vehicle along with necessary insurance and fuel expenses. The contractors must meet specific requirements such as being over 21 years old with a valid driver’s license, passing a background and motor vehicle record check, and obtaining TSA and customer-specific medical certifications, which American Expediting facilitates. Insurance requirements also include liability coverage with American Expediting listed as additionally insured during dispatch periods and compliance with workers’ compensation or occupational accident policies as mandated by state laws or a $1 million occupational accident coverage.

Compensation ranges from $200 to $1000 per week, reflecting the contract nature and flexibility of the role. While this position functions as an independent contractor opportunity, it offers a reliable income stream for individuals owning or having access to a box truck and willing to commit to carrying out critical medical deliveries. Since contractors handle their own tax reporting, insurance, and benefits, they enjoy complete control over their work-life balance and earning potential. By joining American Expediting, contractors become part of a dedicated network working to enhance healthcare delivery through efficient and reliable courier services.
