Job Description
American Expediting is a premier provider of health sciences delivery services dedicated to ensuring timely, accurate, and reliable transportation solutions specifically designed for medical facilities. Serving a critical role in the healthcare supply chain, American Expediting has built a solid reputation by emphasizing the importance of expedited delivery with a commitment to saving lives and supporting the medical community. This company functions in the logistics and delivery sector, specializing in transportation services that require fast turnaround times and careful handling of sensitive, urgent medical supplies, specimens, and equipment.
This opportunity caters to individuals who possess their own box truck and wish to operate as independent contractors providing medical courier services. As a 1099 Independent Contractor Medical Courier Driver for American Expediting, you will enjoy the flexibility to work within a schedule that suits your lifestyle while delivering essential healthcare-related items to various medical facilities. Because this role is contract-based, drivers have the benefit of setting their own pace and maximizing earnings with no imposed caps on income. The shifts are available Monday through Saturday, with two time blocks to choose from: 7 am to 4 pm or 3 pm to 11 pm, allowing contract workers to fit this role around other personal or professional commitments.
In this role, drivers will be responsible for safe and efficient transportation, maintaining the highest safety standards on the road, and ensuring timely delivery of critical materials. This is not simply a driving job; it is a chance to become part of a network that contributes directly to patient care by ensuring medical facilities receive the necessary deliveries when they need them most. Couriers employed as independent contractors will provide excellent customer service, representing American Expediting’s values of professionalism and reliability in every interaction.
As a contract role, drivers must provide their own box truck, maintain valid insurance coverage—including proof of a minimum liability coverage of $100,000/$300,000—and comply with all regulatory vendor requirements. Contractors are expected to gain TSA certification and any other customer-specific certifications necessary for secure transport of medical materials. Since contractors are self-employed, they handle their own fuel, insurance, and tax responsibilities. This autonomy also offers earnings potential unconstrained by traditional employment limitations.
We seek individuals who are at least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, able to undergo background checks and motor vehicle record verification. The ideal contractors are detail-oriented, responsible, and committed to upholding the high standards demanded by the medical transportation industry. Working on the road, these independent contractors will operate with a high degree of professionalism while delivering life-saving materials that directly impact healthcare outcomes.
Joining American Expediting as a 1099 Medical Courier Driver means becoming part of a company focused on health sciences delivery that values safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction. You will be engaged in a meaningful career that combines your driving skills with a critical mission of supporting healthcare providers throughout your community and beyond.
