The Spanish Bilingual Medical Assistant role at ChenMed is a vital position within a physician-led care team, dedicated to providing excellent and comprehensive primary care specifically to seniors. This role blends clinical and administrative responsibilities, requiring the assistant to be cross-trained in both aspects to ensure smooth operation of medical centers. The assistant is responsible for a wide range of tasks including taking patient vital signs, recording medical histories, supporting physicians during examinations, performing routine screening tests, and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers. Because the position demands Spanish bilingual proficiency, the Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in bridging language barriers and ensuring that Spanish-speaking patients fully understand their treatment plans and care instructions.

In addition to direct patient care, the Medical Assistant is also entrusted with performing non-critical medical procedures such as collecting lab specimens, performing basic lab tests, administering medications under supervision, and applying first aid treatments. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and geriatric care is preferred. The role offers a competitive pay range of $17.00 to $24.26 per hour, with compensation adjusted based on experience, education, and other factors. Additionally, this position may be eligible for bonuses or commissions.
