Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Commitment to patient care and confidentiality
  • Ability to follow directions and protocols
  • Physical ability to assist with minor procedures and patient screening

Job Qualifications

  • MA certificate of completion or diploma from medical vocational program preferred
  • Medical office experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to proficiently operate electronic devices such as computers, software, telephones, and tablets
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a quick paced environment
  • CPR certification strongly preferred or ability to obtain certification within 4 weeks of employment
  • Ability to learn and understand medical terminology, anatomy, and vital signs
  • At least one year of dermatology experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Assist providers in minor procedures including but not limited to skin biopsies, excisions, and Mohs Micrographic Surgery
  • Obtain and document history of present illness and medical history of patients
  • Document office visits and examinations under providers direction
  • Screen patients daily upon entry
  • Cross train as front desk associate to answer phones, schedule patients and check-in/out patients
