What truly differentiates Baptist Health is its people-first philosophy. The organization fosters deep personal connections among colleagues and meaningful relationships with patients and their families that extend beyond clinical care. The workplace culture is rooted in purpose and a shared mission where each employee contributes to making a positive impact in the community. Baptist Health is dedicated to supporting staff at every stage of their professional and personal growth, emphasizing a "grow our own" approach that promotes long-term career development with robust support systems and comprehensive benefits.
This role is for a Medical Assistant working under the clinical supervision of practice physicians and clinic supervisors/managers within Baptist Health's outpatient practices. The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing clinical support, including assisting physicians during patient examinations and treatments, rooming patients, obtaining and recording vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, pulse oximetry, pain level, weight, and height, and entering this information into patient charts or electronic medical records (EMR). The position also involves collecting and preparing specimens for laboratory analysis, playing a crucial role in ensuring smooth and effective clinical workflows.
The compensation for this position ranges from $21.24 to $27.61 per hour, depending on experience. Additionally, Baptist Health offers a sign-on bonus of up to $3,000 to attract dedicated professionals. This role is an excellent opportunity for healthcare practitioners with various qualifications including Licensed Practical Nurses, Paramedics, Certified Medical Assistants, Emergency Medical Technicians, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Registered Medical Assistants.
