Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid standard driver's license (Class D or above) with clean driving record
- 6+ months of relevant driving and route management experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain Medical Examiner Card (MED)
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, respond to inquiries, and complete reports
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to perform physical tasks including loading and unloading waste
- Willingness to adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations for waste transport
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- At least 6 months of experience preferably in driving shred or box trucks and route management
- Valid standard driver's license (Class D or above) with excellent driving record
- Ability to obtain and retain a valid Medical Examiner Card (MED)
- Proficient in English to understand traffic signs and communicate effectively
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip maintenance checks
Job Duties
- Manage assigned routes ensuring customers' waste is picked up in a safe, timely, and accurate manner
- Pick up and transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations
- Plan daily schedule based on customers' needs by reviewing daily paperwork such as manifest, route sheets, and previous reports
- Follow routing software route schedule
- Prepare and load trucks to service select accounts ensuring sufficient supplies
- Unload trucks at Stericycle and customer sites ensuring securing of waste
- Provide the highest level of customer service by communicating issues to management for resolution
