The role of Medication Technician at Brio Living Services is a rewarding and impactful part-time position primarily scheduled during the second shift, from 2 pm to 10:15 pm, with varying shifts Monday through Friday, including every other weekend. This role is centered in the Assisted Living Department, where the Medication Technician acts as a pivotal caregiver and health advocate for residents. The technician is responsible for administering medications and treatments accurately according to individualized care plans, assisting residents with personal care activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, and supporting nutritional intake during mealtimes. This position requires compassionate interaction, promoting mobility through safe transfers and positioning, performing vital sign measurements, and responding promptly to residents' needs.

Beyond the core responsibilities, the Medication Technician plays an essential role in maintaining residents' comfort by overseeing tidy and well-stocked living spaces. Vigilance in monitoring residents' medical and emotional conditions and promptly reporting any changes to the leadership team is crucial. This position requires candidates to be at least 18 years old with a minimum of one year of medication passing experience in a healthcare setting. Previous caregiving experience, particularly with seniors or in long-term care, is preferred alongside the physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds unaided. Familiarity with electronic medication administration records (EMAR) systems is an advantage but not mandatory.
