Job Description
Lemartec, a national general contractor and construction management firm founded in 1979, is part of the General Building group within MasTec's Clean Energy and Infrastructure segment. As MasTec's vertical construction arm, Lemartec specializes in delivering complex infrastructure projects across the industrial, aviation, power, and large commercial markets throughout the United States and the Americas. Leveraging a network of over 22,000 professionals and subject matter experts across more than 400 locations, Lemartec combines deep technical expertise, strategic partnerships, and the financial strength of MasTec to successfully execute projects of all sizes and complexities.
This specific role is a Project Manager position dedicated to managing, leading, coordinating, and administering projects from the conceptual stages through planning, engineering, procurement, construction, start-up, performance testing, initial operations, and prime contract close-out. The Project Manager will be instrumental in working closely with the Business Development team to expand current work scope, develop technical and pricing strategies for proposals, and prepare execution plans. This position demands a high level of responsibility for overseeing budget development, schedules, performance monitoring, progress reporting, and problem resolution to ensure that all project objectives, schedules, and budget targets are met while maintaining compliance with contractual specifications.
The role requires traveling up to 100% across the US to various project locations such as North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Texas, Florida, Iowa, and Wyoming, spending an average of 6-8 months per project. Eligible candidates will receive designated daily per diem, vehicle allowance, and travel home rotation benefits. As a Project Manager at Lemartec, the individual will provide leadership to build and maintain a high-performance project team, ensuring superior quality, safety standards, and customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Lemartec’s culture emphasizes sustainability, safety, and continuous improvement, aligning with MasTec’s long-standing reputation as a Fortune 500 minority-owned company with more than 90 years of industry experience. Employees gain exposure to diverse construction disciplines, including general heavy civil construction, underground utilities, structures, electrical work, roadways, and environmental projects.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $110,000 to $150,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with comprehensive benefits including health insurance, paid time off, 401(k) matching, and employee stock purchase plans. As part of MasTec’s dynamic and supportive work environment, candidates will have strong opportunities for career advancement and professional development.
This role demands a high level of expertise in project management, contract review and negotiation, budget and cash flow management, document control, quality assurance, and extensive knowledge of industry technology and EPC work processes. Proficiency with project management and scheduling software such as Procore and Primavera P6, as well as financial software like Sage, is essential. The Project Manager will act as the primary liaison between the customer, Lemartec management, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
By joining Lemartec, candidates will become part of a proven team focused on excellence in project execution, safety, and customer service, supporting infrastructure development that fuels economic growth across the nation.
