The company continuously invests in state-of-the-art solutions to help customers improve efficiency, accuracy, and service levels across their supply chain operations. With a presence across various continents, Dematic is known for fostering a dynamic and collaborative work environment that empowers its employees to grow and excel professionally.
Dematic is currently seeking a talented Mechanical Supervisor to join its growing team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a company that blends cutting-edge technology with hands-on project execution at various customer locations across the continental United States. The Mechanical Supervisor will play a crucial role in overseeing the installation quality, safety, and training at project sites, ensuring all activities meet Dematic’s stringent standards and customer expectations. This position requires 100% travel to customer locations, making it ideal for candidates who are flexible and eager to work on different projects in diverse geographic locations.
In this role, the Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for various key functions including installation quality assurance, safety oversight, equipment trial runs, and coordination with subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate project completion. They will conduct detailed quality inspections, manage corrective actions, and provide clear reporting to project managers and customers. The Mechanical Supervisor must be proactive in identifying and resolving issues promptly and have the physical ability to navigate large construction sites under various environmental conditions. The role also requires excellent communication skills for writing comprehensive trip reports and for training subcontractors on the proper installation of Dematic’s material handling equipment.
This role is a blend of technical expertise and leadership, ideally suited for professionals with a solid background in troubleshooting electromechanical equipment and experience with automation systems such as Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVS), Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS), or conveyors. The Mechanical Supervisor position offers competitive compensation ranging from $42,000 to $95,000 depending on experience, education, and location. Additionally, Dematic provides career development opportunities, pay transparency, global mobility prospects, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Working at Dematic means joining a diverse and inclusive company that values equal opportunity and prohibits discrimination based on race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other characteristic protected by law. Dematic’s commitment to a respectful and supportive workplace culture reflects in every aspect of its operations, making it an employer of choice for skilled professionals in the material handling and automation industries. If you are passionate about mechanical supervision, thrive in a travel-intensive role, and seek to be part of a leading automation company, Dematic invites you to apply and contribute to the future of intelligent automation.
