Job Description
CACI International Inc is a leading technology and professional services company that provides innovative solutions to complex challenges faced by the Department of Defense and other federal government agencies. With a strong focus on delivering high-quality services and products, CACI supports national security missions through cutting-edge technology, engineering expertise, and operational excellence. The company cultivates a culture of integrity, with employees committed to upholding character and innovation as foundational principles in their work. CACI offers a collaborative and flexible work environment where team members are encouraged to grow both professionally and personally. Benefits include healthcare, wellness programs, financial and retirement plans, family support, continuing education, and generous time off, all designed to support employees and their families. Recognized for its commitment to diversity and equal employment opportunity, CACI respects and values the unique contributions of every individual on its team, fostering an environment of trust and mutual respect.
The Mechanical Engineer position at CACI in Albuquerque, NM, is an excellent opportunity for professionals with significant experience in mechanical engineering within Defense or federal agency projects. This full-time, regular employee role requires a Secret security clearance at minimum and involves up to 25% travel across the continental United States to support a variety of technical projects. The primary responsibility is to define and develop innovative mechanical designs for mobile and transportable shelter systems. This involves evaluating and integrating subsystems including hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, HVAC, and power generation, ensuring system compatibility, and addressing existing hardware limitations through creative design solutions. The role demands proficiency in the entire design process—from system specification, interface evaluation, failure analysis to fabricating completed designs. Skilled in finite element analysis and technical writing, the engineer will also coordinate subsystem integration within system-of-systems platforms, provide input for development and qualification testing, and manage documentation such as drawings, user guides, test plans, and maintenance manuals. Teamwork and quick learning abilities are essential, as the engineer must adapt effectively under time constraints while delivering high-quality design results. CACI offers a competitive salary range of $60,100 to $123,200, commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with comprehensive benefits that empower engineers to excel and contribute meaningfully in a mission-driven workplace.
