As a Mechanical Assembler - Switchboard Technician, you will be responsible for assembling wiring panels and sub-assemblies for switchboards, following customer specifications and detailed electrical drawings. The role requires proficiency with hand and power tools and the ability to perform precise electrical wiring assembly tasks. You will also conduct inspections and testing to ensure that finished products meet stringent quality standards and comply with applicable codes and regulations. The technician must understand power flow and wiring guidelines to maintain compliance and safety throughout the assembly process.
This position emphasizes continuous improvement and engagement with production processes. You will be expected to identify opportunities for process enhancements, participate in root cause analysis for quality or production issues, and contribute positively to a safe and inclusive work environment. Eaton encourages teamwork and cross-training, allowing employees to expand their skill sets and increase their compensation opportunities by working across different functions. Working at Eaton means gaining access to outstanding benefits, including health coverage and vacation time from the first day of employment, paid holidays, bi-weekly pay, opportunities for career progression, and overtime options. Additionally, Eaton offers retirement benefits, paid parental leave, educational assistance programs, and wellness reimbursements, all designed to support the well-being and growth of its employees. The company promotes a culture of safety through the proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to health and safety policies.
