The San Marcos, Texas facility is looking for qualified candidates to join as Mechanical Assembler II in an onsite role. This opportunity emphasizes hands-on involvement in assembling complex mechanical and electro-mechanical components, tests, fabrications, and inspections.
The Mechanical Assembler II position at the San Marcos facility is an integral part of the production team responsible for maintaining workflow through precise assembly operations. This role schedules second-shift hours from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm Monday through Friday after an initial training period from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm for up to 90 days. The focus is on quality workmanship, defect identification, repairs, assembly using various hand and power tools, and adherence to detailed blueprints and instructions. This position requires careful inspection and testing of parts, especially oxygen purity and moisture content, maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The ability to lift up to 25 pounds and endure standing for extended periods is necessary.

Job Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Typically high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and instructions
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Willingness to work second shift hours after training
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent such as a G.E.D.
- Vocational or technical education in related discipline preferred
- Minimum of 1 year relevant experience in mechanical assembly or related field
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, or engineering drawings
- Experience with hand and power tools
- Preferred 1 year of relevant machine operation experience
Job Duties
- Performs quality work checks and identifies product defects
- Reworks and repairs assembled equipment and products to engineering specifications
- Utilizes hand tools such as drills, torque wrenches, rivet guns, grinders, orbital sanders, and pull motors for assembly
- Employs measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, and rulers to ensure specifications
- Adheres to and interprets blueprints and operation sheets for product assembly
- Adjusts equipment based on test results and understands machinery processes
- Conducts tests for oxygen purity and moisture content recording results
- Complies with PPE and cleanroom standards to prevent contamination
- Maintains all tasks according to quality and safety standards
- Lifts up to 25 lbs and works standing up to 10 hours per day
- Performs other duties as assigned
