The role available at Kj's Market is tailored for those seeking part-time work with versatile scheduling in our meat and seafood department. This position involves preparing and handling fresh meat and seafood products, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality, freshness, and safety. As a team member, you will provide courteous and friendly interactions with customers, contributing to a welcoming shopping environment. Responsibilities include preparing knife-ready products by slicing, trimming, wrapping, weighing, and pricing them according to company standards, assisting with product receiving, inventory control, and storage, as well as pricing, stocking, and rotating frozen items, prepared meats, and fresh meat and seafood on the sales floor. Maintaining cleanliness, safety, and sanitation is a critical part of the job, covering preparation areas, coolers, freezers, and sales displays.

This position is suited for individuals with good interpersonal skills, effective selling abilities, and an outgoing personality. The candidate should be comfortable working in a refrigerated environment and able to perform physical activities such as lifting items up to 50 pounds occasionally, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods. The role also involves communication with management regarding inventory loss and customer requests or concerns, making public announcements about sales and promotions, and performing any additional duties assigned.
