Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- able to stand for long periods
- able to carry up to 50 pounds
- able to push and pull up to 1000 pounds
- able to follow safety procedures
- able to listen to directions and follow through independently
- able to use good observation skills
- able to work well with others
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience working with the public
- knowledge of when to pull meat if it does not meet standards
- working knowledge of different seafood types and cuts of meats
- able to manage time well
- good communication skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Greet customers when within ten feet and four seconds of contact
- stock and rotate meat items to maintain freshness and quality
- remove damaged items from cases
- pack meat products on trays and forward to wrapping
- operate wrapping machine and check it for working order
- maintain price integrity
- complete basic cleaning of department by washing and sanitizing work tools and area
- perform other related duties as assigned by manager
