Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as cutting and packaging meat
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to complete all required trainings and assessments within prescribed timeframes
- Commitment to maintaining a drug-free workplace
- Adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in meat cutting or a related food handling role beneficial
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation standards in food service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic proficiency with digital tools and technology used in retail operations
Job Duties
- Collaborates with other associates to build a strong meat team
- Demonstrates knowledge of business on the floor, backroom operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and equipment operation and maintenance
- Prepares meat products by cutting, grinding, wrapping, and trimming according to established standards
- Utilizes handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality
- Ensures commitment to operational excellence by maintaining work area according to policies and procedures
- Assists members with purchasing decisions and ensures merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored
- Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity
