Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in meat cutting or food service is an advantage
- Knowledge of meat cutting techniques and safety standards
- Ability to use hand-held technology for business decisions
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Customer service experience
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks
Job Duties
- Be a team member by collaborating with other associates to build a strong meat team
- Be an expert by demonstrating knowledge of floor and backroom operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and equipment maintenance
- Cut, grind, wrap, and trim meat products according to established standards, including cutting boneless meat products
- Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement
- Ensure commitment to operational excellence by maintaining work area according to company policies, securing fragile merchandise, eliminating waste, and assisting members with purchasing decisions
- Act as a talent ambassador by valuing member experience, modeling high-quality service, and exhibiting energy and passion
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity
- Complete work assignments by collaborating with managers, co-workers, and customers, communicating progress and recommending improvements
