- Prior experience in meat cutting or food handling preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

- Basic math skills for inventory and labeling tasks
Job Duties
- Collaborate with team members to build a strong meat department team
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management
- Work flexibly across different areas as business needs demand
- Demonstrate expertise in cutting, grinding, wrapping, and trimming meat products according to quality standards
- Maintain sanitation guidelines and product safety standards
- Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment used in the meat department
- Use handheld technology to make business decisions related to production, quality, and training
- Ensure commitment to operational excellence by maintaining work area according to policies
- Control product quality and dates to minimize waste and secure high-shrink merchandise
- Assist members with purchasing decisions and provide exceptional customer service
- Package, label, and store merchandise according to company policies
- Advocate for the department by modeling high-quality service and products
- Execute basic tasks with high quality, energy, and dedication
- Comply with company policies and ethics standards
- Complete work assignments by collaborating and communicating progress
- Adapt to feedback, change, and challenges to improve work processes
