Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in meat cutting, food preparation, or retail service desirable but not required
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards favorable
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to use handheld technology and adapt to new digital tools
- Commitment to operational excellence and ethics standards
Job Duties
- Collaborates with other associates to build a strong meat team
- Demonstrates knowledge of business on the floor, backroom operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and operation, maintenance, and sanitization of equipment
- Prepares meat products according to established standards including cutting, grinding, wrapping, and trimming
- Utilizes digital tools to improve sales and shopping experience and make immediate business decisions
- Ensures work area meets company policies for operational excellence and maintains quality and date control standards for products
- Assists members with purchasing decisions and ensures proper packaging, labeling, and storage of merchandise
- Advocates for department by valuing member experience and modeling high quality service and products
