The Meat Department Team Member role plays an essential part in delivering BJ’s commitment to quality and excellent member service. This position involves receiving, rotating, wrapping, and merchandising fresh and processed meats, as well as assisting in the merchandising of seafood, rotisserie chickens, prepared foods, and cheeses. The role ensures that all products meet safety and cleanliness standards and that display cases are fully stocked and organized according to company expectations.

- At least 18 years of age
- Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats preferred
- Knowledge of automatic and hand wrapping machines preferred
- Prior experience working in a meat or deli department preferred

Job Duties
- Receive, rotate, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats
- Assist in merchandising seafood, rotisserie chickens, prepared foods, and cheeses
- Provide assistance to members by answering questions and recommending products
- Maintain cleaning and safety standards within the meat department
- Weigh, package, wrap, and label meat, poultry, and seafood cuts
- Inspect and store meat upon delivery ensuring quality standards
- Clean and sanitize equipment, display fixtures, and work areas
- Follow club policies and procedures
- Support other departments as needed
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
