With a mission to provide nutritious, high-quality products while fostering a community of wellness and environmental responsibility, Earth Fare has cultivated a loyal customer base that values transparency, quality, and customer service. Established as a leader in the natural foods retail industry, Earth Fare stores blend the convenience of a grocery store with the values and standards of health-conscious consumers. The company is committed to respecting the environment, supporting local farmers and producers, and ensuring that all offerings meet stringent quality standards.
The Meat and Seafood Team Leader role at Earth Fare is vital to the success of the company’s meat and seafood department. As a Team Leader, you will play a key management role, responsible for modeling the company's mission, conviction, and purpose by leading a department team to exceed financial and operational goals. This includes managing department sales, gross profit, shrink reduction, labor costs, and overhead while ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures. You will oversee the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the workspace, upholding the company’s strict standards for quality and sanitation. The position calls for someone with deep knowledge and experience in meat and seafood varieties, cuts, and preparation techniques, as well as strong leadership and operational skills to guide the team in maintaining an appealing sales floor and delivering outstanding customer service.
The role involves supervising production including in-house meat cutting, monitoring inventory and sales metrics, ordering and receiving deliveries, and managing department scheduling. As a key holder, you will support overall store operations and have the opportunity to influence cost control and process improvements. Earth Fare values development and training, so you will also be responsible for interviewing, selecting, and mentoring team members, promoting a positive and collaborative workplace culture. You will consistently communicate the store’s vision and standards to your team, emphasizing safety, sanitation, and customer satisfaction.
Working at Earth Fare means being part of a company that values its employees, offers competitive benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) and retirement planning, paid time off, employee discounts, and flexible scheduling. The company fosters a supportive work environment where your unique skills and talents are recognized and respected. There are opportunities for career growth and advancement, and the company encourages active community involvement through partnerships and events that positively impact local neighborhoods and the environment. If you are passionate about quality meats, customer service, and leading a motivated team in a fast-paced, health-focused grocery environment, Earth Fare’s Meat and Seafood Team Leader position provides an excellent platform to grow and succeed.
