The role available is a leadership position assisting the Team Leader in managing daily operations across multiple teams and departments. This position is integral to maintaining profitability, controlling expenses, managing labor, overseeing buying and merchandising activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and handling special projects. The successful candidate will serve as a key leader who not only supports operational goals but also develops and inspires team members to excel. Responsibilities include acting as the departmental point person in the Team Leader’s absence and fostering a positive, respectful, and motivated work environment. Excellence in retail execution and customer service are paramount, as is adherence to health and safety standards. The position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, the ability to analyze sales and labor reports, and strong team communication skills. Candidates should possess a growth mindset and demonstrate a passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing others. A strong knowledge of company products, regulatory practices, and financial literacy in relation to profitability and inventory management are also critical to success. Physical requirements involve the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate various equipment, along with adaptability to work in different conditions like cold, wet environments, and flexible scheduling that includes nights, weekends, and holidays. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day
  • Hand use involving grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
  • Ability to bend, twist, squat, and reach
  • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
  • Ability to work in temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Ability to work in wet and cold environments
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to use tools and equipment such as box cutters, knives, pallet jacks, forklifts, hand trucks, and balers

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 18+ months retail team member experience
  • 6+ months supervisory experience
  • Extensive knowledge of supported department(s) products
  • Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
  • Ability to coach and mentor others
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and operations-related applications
  • Strong mathematical skills for financial assessment
  • Knowledge of regulatory and safety policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated leadership and decision-making ability

Job Duties

  • Follows through on customer questions and requests, resolving concerns as needed
  • Works with Team Leader to achieve sales, margin, expense, and labor targets
  • Assists Team Leader in analysis of sales, reports, and labor
  • Demonstrates advanced product knowledge and develops or maintains awareness of new products
  • Works with Team Leader to resolve team concerns or issues
  • Functions as point person and departmental person-in-charge in absence of Team Leader
  • Sets and achieves the highest standards of retail execution
