The Café Manager position is an on-call role, providing flexibility and a variety of daily tasks centered around meal preparation, service, and delivery to homebound seniors. The manager ensures meal service operations are smooth, efficient, and compliant with dietary and safety standards. Essential responsibilities include assisting with serving meals, complying with portion guidelines, maintaining a clean and safe dining atmosphere, and fostering a hospitable environment by greeting guests warmly and addressing any concerns they may have.

This role also involves operational and logistical duties, such as managing reservations, monitoring food temperatures, sanitation standards, and inventory control. A key part of the work includes driving the company Meals on Wheels vehicle to deliver meals to elderly clients, maintaining safe food handling during transport, and performing wellness checks that provide not only nourishment but also social interaction for homebound seniors. The Café Manager supports volunteers by guiding them and promoting a positive team environment through excellent service and adherence to food safety practices.
