Theatre Assistant Manager in Training is a pivotal, part-time role designed to cultivate future managerial talent within the theatre operations team. This position is highly sales-oriented and focuses on delivering quality guest service particularly in ticketing and concessions sales, while supporting theatre maintenance and cleanliness. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to develop comprehensive knowledge and a skill set required to advance to an Assistant Manager role within a structured timeline of no longer than 90 days. Key responsibilities involve engaging guests cordially with eye contact and a welcoming smile, utilizing suggestive sales techniques to promote special deals, accurately handling financial transactions through point-of-sale terminals, and maintaining inventory and cash integrity. Additionally, the role involves assembling concession items such as popcorn, drinks, and snacks, conducting theatre and external hardscape checks, ensuring censorship compliance by enforcing the MPAA rating system, and performing general cleaning duties inside and outside the theatre environment.

This entry-level management training position requires candidates to be at least 18 years old, possess good communication skills in English, and demonstrate the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations efficiently. The Assistant Manager in Training role also demands availability to work evening hours, weekends, and holidays, underscoring the need for reliability and dedication. Physical requirements include frequent standing, walking, bending, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. Job Duties
