The featured position is based at the iconic Arizona Biltmore, a luxurious resort situated in the prestigious Biltmore neighborhood of Phoenix. Known as the "Jewel of the Desert," the Arizona Biltmore opened its doors in 1929 and recently underwent a significant $150 million restoration, reopening in May 2021. The expansive 39-acre resort boasts over 700 rooms, more than 200,000 square feet of versatile banquet space, nine food and beverage outlets including fine dining restaurants, bars, poolside venues, a gelato shop and café, in-room dining, a luxury spa, and seven pools including a 65-foot waterslide.

As a Lead Line Cook at this distinguished property, the successful candidate will play an essential role in ensuring the quality and consistency of food preparation across multiple kitchen stations. This full-time role demands dedication to excellence in all aspects of food handling, production, and quality control, making it an excellent opportunity for culinary professionals passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences in a prestigious luxury resort environment. The schedule includes availability for days, nights, weekends, and holidays from 2 pm to 10 pm, with an average service expectation of 150 covers per shift on the grill and sauté stations.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three years professional cooking experience
- Ability to work grill and sauté stations with average of 150 covers per shift
- Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays from 2 pm to 10 pm
- Maricopa County Food Handler Card
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and comply with health department regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an apprenticeship or accredited culinary school preferred
- At least three years of cooking experience in a professional, fast-paced kitchen
- Prior hotel or resort experience preferred
- Upscale or luxury dining experience preferred
- Maricopa County Food Handler Card
- ServeSafe Food Handler Certification preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare all food items according to standard recipes and as specified on guest check to ensure product consistency
- Visually inspect, select and use only food items ideal for cooking in preparation of menu items
- Maintain consistency and work collaboratively as a team
- Check and control proper storage of products, monitor age and condition to rotate and ensure highest quality
- Keep refrigeration equipment, storage and working areas clean and clutter free in compliance with health department regulations
- Prepare daily requisitions for supplies and food items for production
- Read and employ math skills to follow recipes
- Perform general cleaning tasks as assigned by supervisor
- Keep floors dry and clean to avoid slip and fall accidents
- Perform other duties as requested such as moving supplies and equipment and cleaning up unexpected spills
