Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three years professional cooking experience
  • Ability to work grill and sauté stations with average of 150 covers per shift
  • Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays from 2 pm to 10 pm
  • Maricopa County Food Handler Card
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and comply with health department regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an apprenticeship or accredited culinary school preferred
  • At least three years of cooking experience in a professional, fast-paced kitchen
  • Prior hotel or resort experience preferred
  • Upscale or luxury dining experience preferred
  • Maricopa County Food Handler Card
  • ServeSafe Food Handler Certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare all food items according to standard recipes and as specified on guest check to ensure product consistency
  • Visually inspect, select and use only food items ideal for cooking in preparation of menu items
  • Maintain consistency and work collaboratively as a team
  • Check and control proper storage of products, monitor age and condition to rotate and ensure highest quality
  • Keep refrigeration equipment, storage and working areas clean and clutter free in compliance with health department regulations
  • Prepare daily requisitions for supplies and food items for production
  • Read and employ math skills to follow recipes
  • Perform general cleaning tasks as assigned by supervisor
  • Keep floors dry and clean to avoid slip and fall accidents
  • Perform other duties as requested such as moving supplies and equipment and cleaning up unexpected spills
