The MC West Dining Services Manager at Capital Manor is a vital leadership role responsible for the overall operation and management of dining services in the licensed dining areas. This role involves ensuring the seamless coordination between front-of-house service and back-of-house production, which results in timely and high-quality meal delivery to residents, particularly those in assisted living and memory care settings. The manager oversees menu management to balance appeal and nutritional value, controls inventory purchasing while adhering to budgetary constraints, and leads staff development and training initiatives to promote expertise and a hospitality-centered approach within the dining team.
Key responsibilities include managing and scheduling staff, conducting performance evaluations, and ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to food service, sanitation, and personnel. The manager is also charged with supervising the upkeep and appearance of all dining facilities, from dining rooms and service stations to food preparation and storage areas, ensuring a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for residents and guests. Job Requirements
- Minimum of two years supervisory experience in management within healthcare foodservice, restaurant, hotel, club or similar setting
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Post-secondary education in hospitality management or dining room operations preferred
- Certified dietary manager (CDM) certification a plus
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, visitors, peers, supervisors, and external contacts

Job Duties
- Oversee the appearance and upkeep of all dining facilities including dining rooms, service stations, table settings, linens, silverware, furnishings, food preparation and storage areas
- Directly supervise dining staff across all shifts, plan team meetings, and conduct training to support professional development
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop menus and production sheets ensuring high-quality food service
- Select, train, evaluate, and administer discipline for dining personnel in partnership with the Director of Dining and Culinary Services
- Assign specific jobs and perform spot checks to ensure standards are consistently met
- Maintain accurate records, reports, files, schedules and studies ensuring alignment with staffing, labor, and budget guidelines
- Ensure all health and safety policies are followed including SDS information, safe work practices, infection control and universal precautions
