This opportunity is for an experienced or emerging Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) physician to join a well-established specialty practice at Providence Alaska Medical Center. The role accommodates either full-time or part-time employment and invites candidates who are Fellowship trained and Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine. The practice primarily operates on an outpatient basis, providing daytime hospital consultation coverage and consultative support during nights and weekends. Weekend call duties are shared among several MFM specialists in Anchorage, ensuring a balanced workload.

The MFM practice delivers a comprehensive range of prenatal diagnostic procedures, including ultrasounds, amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling (CVS), fetal echocardiography, and intrauterine treatments. The clinic operates a typical Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with approximately 36 patient-facing hours weekly. The physician joining this team will work alongside one MFM physician with over 20 years of experience, a genetic counselor, two OB-certified sonographers, an RN case manager, a certified medical assistant, and additional support personnel. The clinic boasts AIUM certification in all obstetric exams and fetal echocardiography, utilizing state-of-the-art GE E10 ultrasound machines with Viewpoint software and employs Epic electronic medical records for optimized patient care and workflow efficiency.

Providence Alaska Medical Center also supports the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the state, which provides 24-hour comprehensive specialty care for premature and high-risk infants, along with on-site pediatric surgery and cardiology services.
