Job Description
Dura-Line, an Orbia business, is a globally recognized leader in the manufacturing of high-quality plastic conduit pipes that play a vital role in creating pathways for connectivity across diverse markets worldwide. With a steadfast commitment to quality, sustainability, and safety, Dura-Line integrates environmentally friendly practices throughout every facet of its manufacturing process. The company’s dedication to advancing life around the world is reflected in its innovative approach to product development and operational excellence. As part of Orbia, a conglomerate focused on global challenges such as food security, water scarcity, urban development, data infrastructure connectivity, and health and wellness, Dura-Line stands at the forefront of driving transformative solutions that connect people and information efficiently and sustainably.
Join Our Team as a Materials Manager at Dura-Line's Lubbock, Texas Facility! We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Materials Manager who will be instrumental in ensuring seamless integration of production scheduling, warehouse operations, and shipping functions within our manufacturing plant. This critical role focuses on balancing production capacity with inventory levels and customer delivery demands, ensuring operational efficiency, cost control, and high-quality service. The Materials Manager will oversee the entire material flow cycle — from inbound supplies to outbound shipping — and manage cross-functional coordination involving production, procurement, customer service, and logistics departments. This position demands a strong analytical mindset, utilizing data from ERP systems such as SAP, key performance indicators (KPIs), and operational metrics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing telecommunications manufacturing company where your leadership and prioritization skills will be valued and challenged. Key responsibilities include managing production schedules that align with material availability and customer requirements, leading warehouse and shipping teams, monitoring performance indicators such as on-time delivery and inventory accuracy, and implementing lean manufacturing and process optimization initiatives. The role requires hands-on involvement in inventory management and cycle counting, vendor coordination, adherence to safety standards (including OSHA), and team development through coaching, training, and performance management.
The ideal candidate will bring 5 to 8 plus years of experience in manufacturing operations, supply chain management, scheduling, warehouse, or shipping environments and preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related fields. Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred), MRP, and data analysis tools is essential, along with a demonstrated capability in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement practices. This full-time, on-site role operates primarily during the day shift at our Lubbock facility, with a competitive salary range from $84,000 to $155,500 annually. Compensation considers education, experience, skills, and geographic location, with additional opportunities for incentive compensation.
At Dura-Line and Orbia, employees receive comprehensive benefits including healthcare coverage, 401(k) retirement savings plans, paid holidays, vacation and sick leave, parental leave, disability leave, and access to an employee assistance program. We pride ourselves on fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace aligned with values centered on curiosity, accountability, and respect for different perspectives. This is your chance to join a forward-thinking organization committed not only to advancing technology and infrastructure connectivity globally but also to nurturing a healthy and supportive work environment.
