Job Description

RIX Industries is a globally recognized technology-focused company specializing in the design, development, and manufacturing of advanced gas generation systems, precision compressor solutions, and cryogenic cooling technologies. Established in 1878, RIX has a long-standing history of innovation and excellence, serving critical applications across diverse sectors such as Marine, Aerospace, Land, Energy, Industrial, Medical, and Critical Infrastructure markets. Headquartered in Benicia, California, RIX Industries operates additional facilities including a significant site in Sparks, Nevada. This enables the company to maintain a strong presence and deliver cutting-edge solutions internationally. The company continues to pioneer hydrogen-on-demand systems and other innovative technologies aimed at fostering more sustainable, safe, and efficient infrastructure worldwide.

The Material Project Coordinator position is a full-time role based at the Sparks, Nevada facility, offering an hourly wage of $23.00, with potential adjustments based on experience (DOE). This role is vital within the company’s production and material management ecosystem. The coordinator will work closely with production planning and supervisory teams to ensure the seamless picking, organizing, and flow of materials needed for various project jobs. A significant part of the job involves monitoring the progress of production work orders, ensuring that materials are issued correctly and inventory levels are properly maintained to support uninterrupted production activities.

This role demands strong organizational skills and the ability to efficiently track and report shortages that might impact project timelines. The Material Project Coordinator will use company systems including CSI for job and inventory management and will participate in regular production and project review meetings to align efforts across departments. Furthermore, the coordinator supports warehouse operations, including working alongside the warehouse lead for material picking and scanning activities, maintaining documentation, and contributing to cycle counts to preserve inventory accuracy. Physical housekeeping of the job cart areas and maintaining detailed records are also key responsibilities.

Candidates must be proficient in navigating multiple computer systems and software applications, understand manufacturing processes, material requirements planning (MRP) principles, and inventory control techniques. The ideal candidate brings a high energy level, resourcefulness, and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, busy environment while maintaining clear and effective communication. This position also requires U.S. citizenship or qualified U.S. person status due to requirements potentially tied to Department of Defense security clearances.

The Material Project Coordinator plays an integral role in supporting RIX Industries’ mission of delivering superior gas generation and compressor solutions through effective material coordination and inventory management. This position offers growth potential within a technologically advanced and future-focused company committed to equal employment opportunities and fostering an inclusive work environment.
