The role of Material Management Supervisor at GXO centers on managing and enhancing day-to-day warehouse operations during the second shift, specifically from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The position offers an annual salary ranging from $70,304 to $78,000, subject to location and company policies, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401(k) plans and other employee benefits. This role demands a hands-on leader who can motivate and coach a team to exceed operational goals while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse environment.

The Material Management Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse workflows, preparing effective schedules, monitoring quality and service standards, and implementing improvement initiatives that align with GXO’s quality policies and 7S program standards. The supervisor must maintain open and effective communication channels with leadership, team members, and cross-functional departments, ensuring smooth operations and high customer service levels. This role not only requires strong operational savvy but also the ability to foster teamwork and professional development within the warehouse team. Candidates should be prepared to adapt to flexible working hours, including the potential for overtime to support business needs.

Ideal applicants bring at least two years of relevant warehouse or logistics experience, competency with Microsoft Office tools and inventory scanning equipment, and a practical ability to manage physical warehouse demands such as lifting, standing, reaching, and enduring varying environmental conditions. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in logistics or a related field, prior supervisory experience, bilingual abilities in English and Spanish, and familiarity with AS9100 or ISO standards, along with third-party logistics (3PL) background. Job Requirements

  • 2 years of relevant work experience
  • experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and computerized scanner equipment
  • availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends
  • ability to lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights
  • ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time
  • ability to reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
  • ability to handle or manage tools or equipment
  • tolerance of hot or cold warehouse environments

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor's degree in logistics or a related field
  • 2 years of managerial or supervisory experience
  • bilingual English/Spanish
  • experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment
  • warehousing or third-party logistics (3PL) experience
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and computerized scanner equipment
