The position involves the safe and efficient operation of equipment used for handling the movement of packages, documents, heavyweight freight, dangerous goods, and Unit Load Devices (ULDs). Employees in this role assist with building up and breaking down pallets that contain heavyweight freight, ensuring proper loading and unloading processes are followed. The role also serves as a liaison between FedEx and ULD repair vendors when necessary, facilitating necessary communications and ensuring equipment repairs are timely and meet company standards. Beyond these specific duties, the employee will undertake other tasks as assigned by management. This is a non-covered safety sensitive position requiring vigilance, adherence to safety protocols, and a commitment to maintaining a secure work environment.

This role is offered as a full-time, in-person position with shifts including morning hours from Tuesday to Saturday (4:00 AM to 8:00 AM) and evening hours from Sunday to Thursday (7:00 PM to 11:00 PM). The pay range for this position is $18.79 to $25.97 per hour, reflecting FedEx's competitive compensation package. The role demands physical fitness as it involves lifting packages up to 50 pounds without assistance and maneuvering heavier packages using appropriate equipment or assistance. Employees need to be able to work in various weather conditions, stand and walk for extended periods, and handle tasks that might require bending, squatting, climbing stairs or ladders, and working in enclosed spaces.

Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license as it is a requirement due to the operation of motorized conveyances.
