Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous mascot or performing arts experience preferred
- Outgoing and positive personality
- Ability to communicate nonverbally
- Creativity for routines
- Comfortable performing for crowds
- Ability to read guest comfort cues
- Willingness to work long and irregular hours including evenings, weekends, holidays, and in various weather conditions
- Proficient computer skills including social media management
- Valid driver’s license and access to local transportation
- Physical ability to lift 25 pounds
- Height between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 9 inches
- Comfortable standing and walking for long periods in mascot costume
Job Qualifications
- Outgoing, humorous, and positive individual who connects easily with diverse audiences
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with clients, tenants, employees, exhibitors, and patrons
- Flexible and adaptable to changing situations
- Enthusiastic, outgoing, and guest-friendly demeanor at all times
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred experience as a mascot, in performing arts, theater, or amusement park settings
- Strong nonverbal communication skills including body language and gestures
- Creative with an ability to devise moves and dance routines
- Comfortable performing in front of large crowds
- Ability to sense and respect guest comfort levels
- Willingness to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency in Mac, Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet
- Experience with social media platforms, TikTok, and creating video reels
- High energy and self-motivation
- Valid driver’s license
- Access to a vehicle for local travel in Houston area
Job Duties
- Serve as a positive community ambassador for Legends Global NRG Park and HCSCC brand
- Work closely with event organizers, marketing team, and staff to coordinate mascot appearances and develop routines
- Engage with guests in costume by displaying enthusiasm, high energy, and encouraging interaction
- Make appearances at shows and events including greeting, dancing, high-fiving, and posing for photos
- Maintain and care for mascot costume to ensure it is always operational and guest-ready
- Develop and maintain social media content, scheduling, and conduct market research
- Perform other duties as assigned
