- Ability to follow and pass sanitation standards and training
- Ability to empty large trash receptacles
- Ability to read chemical product sheets and follow safety procedures
- Ability to transfer extremely hot food pans
- Ability to use a variety of food preparation equipment safely
- Ability to use six-foot step ladder
- Ability to disassemble, clean and reassemble equipment
Job Duties
- Perform assigned duties related to the preparation of school meals such as setting up, cooking, cleaning, washing, mopping and maintaining inventory
- Become skilled in the use of all equipment normally used in work assignments
- Adhere to work schedules and work assignments
- Attend work on a regular basis and on time
- Report work-related injuries as required
- Complete records as specified
- Adhere to dress code requirements
- Practice acceptable health habits and safe work habits in keeping with current health guidelines
- Participate in in-service training opportunities offered by the local school and school systems
- Maintain a positive, friendly attitude in all job relationships
- Assume other reasonable and equitable job-related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor
