Job Description
Aimbridge Hospitality is a globally recognized leader in the hotel management industry, known for its commitment to operational excellence and guest satisfaction. As a dynamic hospitality management company, Aimbridge operates a diverse portfolio of upscale hotels and resorts, delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions across multiple markets. With a focus on fostering growth and development among its team members, Aimbridge emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and a customer-first approach to ensure every guest experience is memorable. The company proudly supports a culture of integrity, inclusivity, and continuous improvement, making it a sought-after employer in the hospitality sector.
The role of General Manager at Aimbridge is a pivotal leadership position responsible for driving the overall performance of the property. This role encompasses operational leadership, financial management, customer service excellence, and team development. The General Manager is expected to be a strategic planner and an effective communicator who can inspire and lead a diverse team while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Based at the Kansas City Marriott Country Club Plaza, a luxury hotel that offers guests an unparalleled experience with its chic rooms, upscale amenities, and prime location, the General Manager will oversee all aspects of the property’s operations. The hotel boasts convenient access to local attractions such as the Uptown Theater, Sprint Center, Westport, and the Kansas City Art Institute, and aims to provide guests with comfort, style, and a welcoming atmosphere.
As General Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to shape and elevate the guest experience, oversee the development of sales and marketing strategies, optimize operational processes, and manage financial performance with a keen eye on revenue growth and cost control. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining high standards of hospitality, fostering a positive work culture, and building strong relationships with guests, local community leaders, and stakeholders. The role is full-time and offers a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, disability income options, life insurance, paid time off, and a 401k retirement plan. Additionally, Aimbridge offers innovative perks such as daily pay options post the initial employment waiting period, reflecting its commitment to employee satisfaction and financial flexibility.
This position demands at least six years of progressive experience in the hospitality or related fields, with a preference for candidates who possess a blend of education and hands-on leadership experience. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree with relevant industry experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The General Manager acts as the face of the hotel, a champion of sales and marketing efforts, a systems savvy overseer proficient in technology for operational efficiency, and a guest service advocate dedicated to delivering five-star experiences. Your responsibilities will include budget oversight, sales strategy implementation, team coaching, guest relations management, and community engagement. If you are a motivated, resourceful leader with a passion for hospitality excellence and a strong track record in hotel management, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a premier property and set new standards for service and operational success.
