The job involves multi-tasking, ingredient preparation such as chopping, peeling vegetables, and cutting meat, cooking food using different utensils and grillers, and ensuring great presentation by dressing dishes before serving.
Maintaining a sanitized and orderly kitchen environment is crucial, as is ensuring that all food and items are properly stored and of high quality. The cook will also monitor inventory and place orders when necessary, contributing to the efficient operation of the kitchen. Physical demands include standing for lengthy periods, moving around the kitchen, lifting or moving up to 50 pounds, and utilizing specific vision abilities such as close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
