The role we are currently offering is for a skilled and passionate Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. As a Cook, you will take charge of preparing and supervising food across multiple outlets within the hotel, including the restaurant, café, room service, employee cafeteria, as well as banquets. This role demands a culinary craftsman who is capable of preparing dishes with precision, focusing on quality, portion control, and presentation to ensure each plate delights our guests. More than just cooking, this role requires leadership to assist and guide kitchen staff, maintaining kitchen efficiency and delivering consistent high-quality service.

This position is designed for a creative culinary expert who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to maintaining excellent sanitation and safety standards. You will act as a solution strategist, anticipating and mitigating kitchen challenges before they become issues, ensuring smooth operations at all times. Effective communication skills are crucial, as you will need to convey information clearly and professionally to both coworkers and guests. Organization is key in this role; you will be responsible for keeping the kitchen clean, orderly, and compliant with hygiene rules.

The Cook role also expects proactive performance, requiring the anticipation of kitchen and service needs to deliver seamless dining encounters. Time management is another essential skill, ensuring that food preparation and service happen promptly and meet guest expectations for taste and quality. Our ideal candidate will have at least five years of progressive culinary experience or be a culinary graduate with relevant experience in a hotel or related field, combined with food handler certification compliant with state standards.

Employees who take on this full-time position will be eligible for a competitive benefits package after an initial waiting period. Benefits include options like daily pay, medical, dental, and vision coverage, short-term and long-term disability income, term life and AD&D insurance, paid time off, an employee assistance program, and a 401k retirement plan. This is a fantastic opportunity for culinary professionals eager to grow their careers at a distinguished Marriott property, work in an inspiring environment, and provide memorable dining experiences to guests in a top-tier setting.
