As a Server at Marriott CityPlace at Springwoods Village, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding hospitality. Servers are the backbone of the dining experience, responsible for creating memorable moments for guests by providing attentive, friendly, and efficient service. This full-time position, which includes an initial waiting period before full benefits eligibility, offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, supportive environment where your efforts directly impact guest satisfaction. The role demands energy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with a positive attitude.
In this position, you will excel as the dining room's MVP by skillfully handling orders, engaging with guests about the menu, and ensuring each visit is exceptional. You will be knowledgeable about all menu items, including ingredients, dietary accommodations, daily specials, and alcohol service guidelines, allowing you to confidently assist and recommend to guests. Accuracy in taking and delivering orders is essential, as is maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining area in compliance with hygiene standards and safety protocols.
This role requires physical stamina to remain active and on your feet throughout shifts, including lifting, bending, and moving with endurance. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing payments efficiently and securely, following all company policies. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in hospitality or food and beverage service is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must obtain and maintain any required certifications such as Alcohol Awareness and Food Handler's Card as per state regulations
