Job Description

Tommy Bahama is a renowned lifestyle brand known for its commitment to delivering a laid back island-inspired experience through its products and establishments. Since its inception, the brand has become synonymous with casual elegance, sought-after retail, and hospitality experiences that embody the essence of island living. The Marlin Bar, a recent expression of the brand's hospitality vision, was first launched in 2016 in Coconut Point, Florida. It was conceived as a relaxed gathering spot where both locals and travelers could unwind, enjoy quality food and drinks, and soak up a vibrant yet casual atmosphere. The success of the initial Marlin Bar spurred the opening of a second location in the iconic setting of Palm Springs, California, in 2018. This location captures the spirit of mid-century modernism while maintaining the easygoing vibe that patrons appreciate. With growing demand, Tommy Bahama is expanding the Marlin Bar concept across multiple locations throughout the United States and beyond, aiming to bring the perfect blend of retail and dining that emphasizes friendly service and a welcoming environment.

The Line Cook role at the Marlin Bar is designed for culinary professionals who share the company’s passion for creating exceptional guest experiences while respecting Tommy Bahama's core values and hospitality standards. This is an engaging position where the individual is expected to operate within a casual, yet high-standard environment specifically tailored for food preparation and service. Line Cooks at the Marlin Bar are responsible not only for the precise execution of culinary tasks but also for actively participating in the creation of a relaxed and inviting atmosphere for guests. They collaborate closely with their team members to ensure that all elements of food service, from ingredient handling to meal preparation, meet the brand’s quality expectations. The role entails knowledge of the menu, safety and sanitation protocols, and a positive attitude towards continuous learning and improvement through feedback and training.

Working at Tommy Bahama offers a unique opportunity to be part of a culture that promotes island leisure and exceptional service. Employees are encouraged to engage directly with guests, sharing enthusiasm about menu offerings and the overall experience. The position requires adaptability in working varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to align with business needs. Furthermore, the physical demands of the role include lifting, bending, standing, and occasional climbing, reflecting the dynamic nature of kitchen operations. This full-time or part-time position welcomes team players who value collaboration, possess a culinary foundation, and aspire to grow within a reputable hospitality brand. Employment at Tommy Bahama is supported by the company’s commitment to equality and inclusivity, providing a supportive environment that respects diverse backgrounds and talents. Join the Marlin Bar team to live the island life while contributing to great food and memorable guest experiences.
