Job Description

Tommy Bahama is a renowned lifestyle brand best known for its commitment to delivering an island-inspired experience through apparel, accessories, home furnishings, and dining establishments. Rooted in the relaxed, beachy vibes of island life, Tommy Bahama has expanded its reach by creating unique environments where guests can enjoy casual dining alongside retail therapy. Among its ventures is The Marlin Bar, a laid-back destination that combines the pleasures of frozen cocktails, light fare, and a curated retail experience. Established initially in Coconut Point, Florida, in 2016, The Marlin Bar has since grown to include locations in Palm Springs, California, and plans further expansion across the United States and beyond. The bar serves as a perfect getaway for locals and travelers alike, offering a place to unwind while enjoying expertly crafted beverages and casual yet flavorful food options. The ethos of The Marlin Bar revolves around providing friendly service in a relaxed, inviting atmosphere where the casual island vibe is always in full effect. The role of Bartender at The Marlin Bar is designed for individuals who embody the spirit of island hospitality and are passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences. As a Bartender, you will be the face of the establishment, greeting guests with warmth and making their visit enjoyable whether they come for retail shopping, a refreshing cocktail, or a light meal. Your knowledge of the food and beverage menus will be essential, as you will guide guests through their choices with enthusiasm and expertise, ensuring all dietary needs and preferences are addressed. The position requires a balance of hospitality skills and operational duties, including managing stock, cash handling, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards within the bar environment. Beyond serving drinks, this role is about creating a memorable oasis for every guest by fostering an atmosphere of genuine friendliness and professionalism. You will be expected to uphold the highest standards of compliance, including verifying guests' identification before serving alcoholic beverages, handling food properly, and adhering to all company policies. The Bartender position also involves participating in ongoing training to stay well-informed about product offerings and improve service quality continuously. The physical demands of the job include the ability to lift moderately heavy items, stand for extended periods, and occasionally travel for training or support purposes. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of bartending or related experience within a full-service restaurant, hold the necessary food handler's card and alcohol service certification as required by law, and demonstrate an eagerness to learn and grow within the brand. This is an opportunity to be part of Tommy Bahama's vibrant and expanding community, contributing to a unique blend of retail and hospitality that celebrates island life every day. The employment type is typically full-time, with the need for availability during nights, weekends, and holidays. Compensation details are competitive and reflective of the hospitality industry standards, with a focus on rewarding excellent service and dedication to the brand's values.
