Job Description

The hiring establishment is a prominent Japanese restaurant group based in New York, NY, a city known for its dynamic culinary landscape and diverse gastronomic offerings. This restaurant group is dedicated to providing authentic Japanese dining experiences, specializing in sushi and other traditional Japanese cuisine. The enterprise values authentic cultural expression combined with innovative hospitality practices, creating memorable experiences for guests through excellence in food, ambiance, and service. Operating with a hybrid work model, the company embraces flexibility by requiring four days onsite at their New York location, enabling collaborative creativity and team synergy while allowing some remote working opportunities. The workweek is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, providing a structured schedule that promotes work-life balance.

The role on offer is for a Marketing Specialist, a critical position within the company's marketing and communications team. This full-time role offers an attractive salary range of $85,000 to $95,000, dependent on experience, accompanied by comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance, and paid time off, affirming the company's commitment to employee well-being and satisfaction. The Marketing Specialist will play a pivotal role in managing the restaurant group's public relations, social media presence, brand partnerships, and operational marketing activities. The specialist will handle day-to-day responsibilities such as content planning for platforms like Instagram and Facebook, influencer collaborations, and the analysis of social media performance metrics. This role extends to supporting brand and media partnerships, conducting press outreach, and coordinating promotional campaigns.

In addition, the Marketing Specialist will be responsible for executing marketing operations including market research, campaign coordination, budget tracking, and performance reporting, ensuring that marketing strategies are data-driven and aligned with business goals. Coordination of digital and print marketing materials is another essential duty, instrumental in promoting restaurant locations, special events, and seasonal offers. Importantly, this role supports new restaurant openings with local marketing initiatives, event coordination, and post-opening marketing analyses, contributing to the successful integration of new venues into the brand portfolio.

The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a strong preference for applicants who have over five years of marketing experience, particularly within the restaurant or hospitality industries. Exceptional communication, organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate across various departments are crucial for success. A nuanced understanding of Japanese culture and sushi is highly beneficial, enhancing the authenticity of marketing messages and engagement with culturally aware audiences.

This opportunity is perfect for marketing professionals passionate about food, culture, and brand storytelling within a fast-paced, culturally rich environment. Candidates can expect to develop and execute innovative marketing strategies that enhance brand visibility and deepen customer engagement, while contributing to the growth and expansion of a respected group of Japanese restaurants. This role offers the chance to be involved in diverse marketing functions and work collaboratively with a passionate team committed to excellence in Japanese cuisine and hospitality.
