Job Description

The Japanese restaurant group based in New York, NY, is a well-established entity known for delivering authentic and high-quality Japanese cuisine. With multiple locations and a reputation for exceptional dining experiences, the group has made a notable imprint in the local hospitality and restaurant scene. The group emphasizes excellence not just in their culinary offerings but also in providing an inviting atmosphere and superior customer service, appealing to both local customers and visitors seeking genuine Japanese flavors and culture. This dynamic company is focused on growth and expansion, underscoring its commitment to innovation and maintaining a strong presence within the competitive restaurant industry.

The company is currently seeking a Marketing Specialist located in New York, NY, to join their team in a hybrid work setting requiring four days onsite per week. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $85,000 annually, depending on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with paid time off, demonstrating the group’s dedication to employee well-being and work-life balance.

The Marketing Specialist role plays a crucial part in supporting the restaurant group’s public relations efforts, social media presence, brand partnerships, and overall marketing operations. This position extends beyond basic marketing functions to include active involvement in new restaurant openings and expansion initiatives, which are key growth drivers for the company. The Specialist will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to execute strategic marketing campaigns, manage brand identity, and enhance the group’s visibility and engagement with target audiences.

In this role, the Marketing Specialist will be expected to manage PR and social media platforms including Instagram and Facebook, handling content planning, audience engagement strategies, analytics, and collaborations with influencers. This role also involves supporting brand and media partnerships by facilitating press outreach and coordinating promotional campaigns that align with the restaurant’s brand vision and marketing goals.

Additional responsibilities include conducting market research to analyze competitive trends, coordinating various marketing projects, keeping track of marketing budgets, and preparing detailed performance reports to assess campaign effectiveness. The Specialist will also coordinate both digital and print marketing materials to enhance the restaurant's promotional efforts. An exciting aspect of this role is supporting new restaurant launches, which involves local marketing campaigns, event coordination, and post-opening analysis to ensure successful introductions and sustained customer interest.

Ideal candidates will have a background in marketing within the restaurant or hospitality industries, bringing at least five years of relevant experience. A firm understanding of Japanese culture and sushi is highly valued, as it enables the Specialist to authentically represent and promote the brand’s culinary heritage. Strong communication skills, organizational capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments are essential to thrive in this position.

This is a unique opportunity for marketing professionals passionate about the food and hospitality industry to contribute to a thriving Japanese restaurant group while advancing their careers in a supportive and innovative environment.
