This role demands a bilingual individual fluent in both Japanese and English, capable of managing multiple responsibilities efficiently in a team-driven environment. The Marketing Sales Assistant will be integral to the daily operations of the company’s sales and marketing departments. Key tasks include providing exceptional support to existing customers while proactively identifying new business opportunities to drive growth. Handling customer inquiries via phone and email with professionalism and promptness will be a significant part of the role. Additionally, the assistant will manage order processing, invoicing, shipment coordination, and inventory updates, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions.
Maintaining comprehensive customer and product databases will be critical to supporting marketing campaigns and online store management. This role also requires participation in trade shows, promotional events, and other outreach activities to boost brand visibility and engagement. Administrative responsibilities will encompass supporting cross-functional projects, requiring strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
This position is ideal for individuals with excellent communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and a capacity to work independently while contributing to team objectives. Experience in sales support, customer service, retail, or administrative roles is preferred to navigate the multifaceted demands of this position successfully. Knowledge or experience in digital marketing, e-commerce, publishing, or bookstore environments will be advantageous, as well as familiarity with inventory or warehouse coordination.
Candidates should also be physically capable of occasionally lifting up to 60 pounds and handling shipment-related tasks comfortably, reflecting the hands-on nature of the role.
