In addition to overseeing the weekly advertisement preparation and proofing processes, the Specialist manages other marketing projects by collaborating with internal departments as well as external teams. The role requires strong project coordination skills to ensure production schedules are met and creative content is developed for special weeks, such as expos, holidays, and themed events. Leading weekly Ad Review meetings and participating in monthly, quarterly, and annual ad planning sessions are crucial components of this role, ensuring that every aspect of the advertising process is transparent and efficient.

Ideal candidates are expected to have retail marketing experience, be proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat, and possess outstanding communication skills. Organizational excellence and attention to detail are paramount, as the role demands the ability to manage multiple projects and maintain accuracy throughout marketing campaigns. Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in retail marketing preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) as well as Adobe Acrobat
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with negotiating and working with others to resolve conflict
  • Highly-detailed individual with exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude
  • Ability to function as a team member and get along with others

Job Duties

  • Build and maintain internal relationships and communication to ensure trust is established and maintained between marketing and other departments
  • Review weekly ad submissions and check for compliance to ad plan
  • Maintain ad plan to ensure plans are 100% accurate and available to all team members who utilize them, including merchandising and marketing teams
  • Work with offsite production team to ensure defined ad production and proofing schedule is met
  • Work with creative team to develop creative for weekly ad on special weeks (expos, holidays, themed events etc)
  • Work with merchandising team to make sure every ad is proofed by all business managers
  • Lead weekly ad review meetings
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual ad planning meetings
  • Manage marketing projects and promotions from initiation to closure
  • Collaborate with marketing team to develop marketing plans and campaign tactics
  • Perform other duties as requested or required by management
